skaters are hot.

  

You can't deny it. It's undeniable... skaters are just hot. Just did a board graphic for Portland grom, Kincaid Davis. He rides a custom shaped longboard by local shaper Scott at Subsonic Skateboards. It doesn't effect me quite the same way surfing does, but it does a pretty good job at keepin' me moving. Showed Scott some of the other decks i've done and we've decided to work on a collaborative project. Stoked.

In addition to working with Honolulu's cult-classic shop 88 tees and Haleiwa's oldest shave-ice hot-spot Matsumoto's Shave Ice, i am super stoked to show my hand at the uber-cutie children's line: Coral&Polyp :)

Their line focuses heavily on the importance of recycling and doing good things for the earth - they even had a booth at this past years Kokua Festival sponsored in part by everybody's favorite surfing songwriter, Jack Johnson.

 well, it's officially no longer summer on the mainland, so i've decided to find ways to appreciate the color gray in all it's splendors. it will be no easy task, but this shoot from Mike Piscitelli will definitely take the sting out.

so, moving from a ten year stint on a tropical island can really freak a person out. but i bought a vintage leather jacket and some black glasses, i'm growing my hair out and surfing on the weekends...we'll call it: a test of character. so let me get back to what i'm good at and that's making and finding things that feed my soul. check out what i've been up to lately.

A photoshoot by my friend, and local fashion photog, David Frost  carries our debut collection from Sugarhigh+Lovestoned over into fall. We'll be at the new L.A. pop-up shop curated by UNIQUE L.A.& APARTMENT 3 over at the H.D. Buttercup building this Friday, October 22nd. check it, yo.

i've got spring fever.

   okay, distractions need to subside here....time to get back to my poor, ignored little blog. here's some springy, cruisey shots to make you want to get outside. which is where i'm going right now. be on the lookout - going to start updating my work page as well as post some of my line art. in the meantime though, step outside.

so, already i've missed a day :(   A little bit of life happened and i had to jump a plane to Washington State.

Well, while i'm here i decided to look for a little bit of luck - and look at what i've found so far. A unicorn, a rabbit's foot, and a soul-mate love crystal. Can't beat it. (Chloe, this uni's for you!!!!)

photog. credits and permalinks and all of that, because what good is a teaser, if you can't get more? Then again, i guess that IS a teaser...anyways, i'm going to make sure you are able to dig a little deeper if you find something you like.

i'm going to be posting lots of cool fashion imagery, art, lots of typography stuff, and all of my new work as it comes out. I'm also trying to piece together a 3-6-5 project. Well, besides promising to post here daily....
